 volcom pipe pro 2012

Day One of the Volcom Pipe Pro Canceled after the first seven rounds of surfing. The contest only ran for about 3 hours this morning. These professional surfers did not want to even go out because the waves were unridable! The waves today were as big as 20 feet. The crowd watching were washed out by massive amounts of water as well as taking out a few camera crews that were setup on the beach. I watched people run towards the waters edge, trying to snatch belongings that were flushed out to sea by the oncoming sets, racing the next swell about to washout on the shore. Stephen Koehne from Kauai, not only got the best wave of the day with a 8.00 he also ended up with the worst injury too. Stephan was carried all the way up the beach bleeding along the way. Stephan will not longer be surfing in the contest and it doesn’t look like he will be walking anytime soon either. What a way to start the Volcom Pipe Pro!

little black dress

Brandy Melville “Almost” backless dress, Varon Snake skin clutch (thrift store find), Steve Madden Leopard Flats

Im obsessed with the Brandy Melville “Almost” backless, little black dress. Unfortunatly, they do not carry this exact dress anymore online. Thankfully, the Mara Dress is very similar! I have to admit backless, black dresses just make me feel super sexy and sometimes I like to consider myself a blonde Holly, from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

My Varon snake skin clutch was a thrift store SCORE! I am such a sucker for vintage bags and this one just can not be topped. I had to fight my mom for it… and of course I won! It is the perfect “Dress to Impress” purse. Sadly, you cannot have this one, but you can get the FREE PEOPLE Grommet Lock Crossbody Clutch that I love just as much! Finally, my pair of Steve Madden, leopard flats. These bad boys are a classic and I love the sound they make when I enter a room. They are as aggressive and graceful as the Leopard itself. If you don’t have a pair already… I suggest you get a pair A.S.A.P. These ones Steve Madden no longer carries as well, however they have what I considered even sexier ones ONLINE! I would have to say these shoes are a FAVVY of mine.

balancing in denum low

fahsion denim balance photo

Grey Denim, LONDEN BRIDGE Vest. Black, RVCA Top. Grey, Destroyed, 21DENIM jeans.

I am so over taking pictures by myself…of myself. It is by far one of the hardest things to do. You have to worry about lighting, where to put the camera, hopefully a long enough timer, and then try to look halfway decent in the process. I feel like I’m missing an arm or leg when photographing myself. Plus, it takes twice as much time or more to get it done the way I want.

Anyways… enough of my complaining. The reason I put this outfit put together was because Im addicted to my studded, denim, LONDEN BRIDGE vest! I think I got this vest a year ago from the local boutique in San Diego called Dream Girls. When I put this vest on I feel like a rockstar. Its one of those dress it up or down looks made to be comfortable but chic. “Rockin Chic”

Sunset and Sea GlassSearching for sea glasssea glass wandererNorth Shore street art
Yesterday at Sunset, Chris and I wandered down to the closest beach from his house on the North Shore and spent about a hour sea glass searching. Massive amounts of  local street art covered the sea walls on our detour trail we decided to take. Once we got down there, of course I jumped into the warm water and I went whomping in the shore break. If I wasn’t wearing my favorite North Shore Swimwear bathing suit, I would of totally flashed everyone on the beach. I love these bathing suit tops because they are made for active water women, plus they are comfortable. If you are looking for a bathing suit that is cute and water ready, these are perfect! FAVVY
