Ended up going on a spontaneous camping adventure a few weeks ago to Big Sur. Honestly, I was not expecting what I experienced. The trip was more exciting then I imagined and the weather was perfection. The drive through Big Sur was kinda nerve racking. Just imagine, your driving on a narrow road that winds around close corners on the edge on a massive cliff. Houses clanged to the edges of California’s coastline, it was terrifying and I do not know how these people lived in them without fear of falling during a earthquake. Two words can describe this trip, “terrifyingly beautiful”. If you have not been to Big Sur, make a trip up there this summer you will not regret it.

While Camping everyone should have the perfect rain jacket, ready for all conditions. I recommend the brand NorthFace. I ended up purchasing my turquoise North Face jacket at REI the day before our camping adventure up to Big Sur. It has hidden pockets, a hood that can be zipped up into the collar and is light enough for warmer weather. Mine is actually the children’s jacket because I am a midget. If your looking for the perfecting camping jacket invest in North Face!

Reminded: Make sure you follow washing instructions for North Face rain jackets properly or else you can ruin the jacket!!

It has been all sunshine since I flew in to “Always Sunny”, San Diego! Yes, its official, I live in CALIFORNIA. I moved within 24 hours of a spontaneous decision last week. Today was my first post since I have arrived. Now that I live in Ocean Beach I have a minor obsession with the O.B Pier and soaking up the sun rays. I made this dress about a year ago. The first time I wore it was actually when I took these pictures. My wedges are forever 21 however at the beach I have to go barefoot, so naturally I chocked them after only a few minutes later. I am so excited to start a new adventure here in Southern California and cant wait to see “WEAR” I will wander to next.

Diana Von Fustinburg Dress FAVVY, Anna Michelle Thigh High Boots!

Oh, Diana Von Fustinburg I love you. There was not a lot of wind today and the lighting was perfection so i just had to cruse to the beach! I wandered to some random cliffs today, and took massive amounts of photos with different outfits before it started to pour, no place like Hawaii in the winter. Big waves and warm rain are considered gross days! I ended up crawling down the cliff after shooting up in this area. Let me tell you something, hiking up and down a cliff to change outfits in heels is ridiculous. Not only that, its been raining too, that means MUD and a lot of it! I had to carve off the mud and stones off these Anne Michelle boots of mine for about ten minutes.

Someone who’s advice means a lot to me said “You are what you pay for”, so today… I decided to invest in a nice, expensive camera. Im a visual person and I feel I can express myself better with photos then words sometimes.When I made this spontanious decisions, I drove myself to Costco that instant, that way I could not back out! I returned my little camera and upgraded to the EOS REBEL T2i !!! Im in love, let me tell you. What a difference it makes. I feel more professional and ready to take over the North Shore, one photo at a time.
