This week I entered Pixiemarkets styling give way contest and WON! In order to enter I had to style their Eagle Sweater that is not yet available with items on their online store. I decided to stick with black and bronze colors to go with the royal blue in the sweater. I won against 267 other entries! So stocked. I fell what made me stand out was the collage I made of all the items together. No one else really did that.

This morning as I was refreshing my Instagram, I noticed this really awesome outfit on a blond girl holding a sign that said “Mariah Oelke”, it took me a second to realize…

“Hey thats me!!!!” … now I get my outfit featured on the Pixiemarket online store monday and the whole outfit sent to my door step!

… I post a photo of me in the clothes when they come…whoop whoop!

I have entered myself in this REEF JUNIOR STYLING contest! I had a lot of fun looking through Pinterest in order to style a outfit that went great with REEFS RICH WATER SHOES. I tried to keep this look costal girl with a wanderlust addiction, like myself!

Finally getting into the grove of things in my Apparel Construction class. This lovely little number was produced in two days. Its was the first time for me to have to work with knit fabrics and I loved every minute of it. I have been craving a bathing suit project so when I was finally given the G.O I know exactly what I wanted to put together!

I was able to find a pattern at Joannas Fabrics, however I did a lot of my own adjustments to get what I wanted. I wanted high-waisted bottoms with a modern twist. I cut the edges inward to give a nicer curve on the booty…. without making it to bootylious! These bottoms can be worn two different ways. High-waisted for the vintage effect or low waisted so you can still get that summer tan!

Sometimes one print pattern just isn’t enough! This Pink and Orange polka dot dress is one of my newest obsessions. The cut off sides really create new way to be sexy without showing to much skin. This summer is all about unique ways to layer or create illusions. I Wandered into Urban Outfitters sale rack for this little sexy number and I just cant get enough of it!! Soon I will have awkward tan lines but it will be worth it. It buttons up the back and  is so comfortable.With the tight fit you can show off your curves. This is a dress to impress so if your looking for a classic cut piece with a little ” Zooey Deschanel” style you have to invest!

The Floral Jacket was a thrift store score. I just adore it! With only two original buttons and the fringe lining the collar, this one of a kind jacket makes such a statement. You want to know something funny, this jacket is actually a vintage night gown cover-up! I found it in the sleep wear section. Ha ha. Again, its another “Zooey Deschanel” inspired piece. I love vintage and
